Dear All A lot of interesting news, articles, opinions and what not. Tonight and on Sunday you can see Doors Art production of Tamara Obrovac in the USA. Kardinal Puljic visited New York in celebration on our Brooklyn Parish in Astoria. Live music, ceremony that would be difficult to top. Extraordinary on every level. I hope one day I'll have time to describe it in details. Astoria and New York community showed how capable they are to organize such a celebration. Ivan Dikic is getting awards left and right all over the world. I am traveling. Osijek, Djakovo. Do you know that Djakovo Ergela celebrates 500 years of existence? English Queen visited Djakovo. There is a picture of her. Next time I hope we have it in English. There is a plenty of opportunity to participate in development of Djakovo's Ergela. Osijek was impressive as the people around me, from University of Economy to people who produce Beet Juice. Thanks to Vladimir who organized all of it (author of Be Better - Budi Bolji). I am very impressed with the local newspapers and their professionalism. Slavonia is flat but exciting. Great honor for our Croatian Hero from the WW2, Peter Tomich. Given posthumously few days ago. See photos and articles. Adam Eterovich ( www.croatians.com ) wrote about Peter Tomich for years. I am sure that in part it is Adam's credit for this fruition. How did aggressor with the help of western democracies became a victim, an interesting point of view, by Capt. Darko Belovich. Huge event is about to happen. A museum and gallery for Croatian Naive Art. Read about it. Support the way you can. Read Weekly Bulletin by Croatian Embassy number 12. Help students in their task of learning more about Croatia. Tin Ujevic and Modigliani? Do you know they knew each other? What was founded in 1857 in San Francisco? Russia is ready to pay dept to Croatia. Now, that is a good news. Bleiburg. Few interesting letters. One day we will be able to face what happened 61 years ago. Hopefully learn from it. Too many Croatian souls lost for no reason at the moment we needed them the most. Croatian Film Festival in South Africa. Book Club continues in New York, Beyond the Call, a new film by Belic brothers. Ethanol, bio-diesel? Croatia is starting, but very slow. Where are we with the windmills that produce electricity? Few brave entrepreneurs, but where is the VISION and the LEADERSHIP? We as a small nation, we should be able to be totally independent of Oil Import, or Gas from Russia etc. See Brazil ( 180 million people) and how did they made themselves totally independent from oil. Why can't we. One of the vision for the next 10 years should be clean energy and not just independence but export. Think about it. And maybe we should do something about it regardless of the leadership. EU is very good in that regards. Meaning clean energy. Not the political design. Frommer's guide to Croatia is out. The word is out. How to protect and serve those who want to enjoy this beauty, World Oasis. Lessons from Spain should be taught in school, not just in a daily newspapers. Devastation of the cost can happen easily. Wisdom, law and honesty on the top is needed for us to hand the next generation better then what we've found. On a litter note, Michael Stipe (REM) is drinking Jana, almost exclusively. Jana is becoming the choice of people who know the difference. New Croatian Chronicle is out. www.croatianchronicle.com and much more. Keep it up an optimistic. Svako dobro, Nenad See Michael Stipe (REM) with Jana www.janawater.com Read, listen and watch Ivica Grgic's webpage www.011385.com that is constant since its start.
